This DLC adds a new campaign option to the already existing ones, which gives it a nice and good twist to the original game. Mythos DLC | As A Total War Saga: Troy released on Steam it also got its first major DLC called Mythos. Here you can also find a tutorial when it’s your first time so you won’t get any suprises when it’s the real deal. In the end, the game also offers you an option to simply play battles where you can choose your army and setup of both you and your opponent. And let’s be honest: going through a campaign can be fun but everything is better when you are doing it with a group of friends. Secondly, you can play this game in multiplayer. During the campaign you will get all sorts of missions which help you to progress further and eventually get a campaign victory, if everything works out for you. First of all, there is your campaign where you have to build your cities, army and reach a certain goal given to you at the start. Game modes | While playing the game you will find that there are a couple of different game modes. As I already briefly mentioned they story gets told by a narrator and from the moment he starts speaking, you will get sucked in immediatly and you won’t stop playing until you are either victorious or defeated. With A Total War Saga: Troy, the devs turned a long lasting wish of many players into reality by making a game about this historical event. Of course, this doesn’t surprise as the world is full with history, but they really manage to put all this history into amazing games. What I personally really like is that the developers clearly put their best effort in this game to make it as historical correct as they could and the fact that they keep finding new stories that they can turn into games time after time after time is so great. Here you can fight as the ancient warrior legend Achillis or the noble Hector and many others to turn the Trojan War around so you will come out victorious. Story & theme | Inspired by the The Illiad, this title in the Total War series brings us to the heart of the Trojan War.For the most time it’s just war sounds that you will hear, this is completed with some fine sound effects such as the sound of the wind or people engaging into combat. When you are in a campaign there isn’t really a track or something like that playing in the background. It’s a very recognizable voice since it has been in many Total War games, but it keeps suprising me how it can give the story another layer. Even when you are playing in a campaign, a voice is there to guide you on your mission to defeat the enemy. Alongside some beautiful graphics, the story that gets told when you launch the game and a campaign. Sound | Another great aspect that comes back in A Total War Saga: Troy is the sound, and then in particular the voice acting. As always, the combat system doesn’t change much in this Total War series, but again we can say they succeeded in delivering everything beautifully to your screen. As you engage in battle against enemy troops, the game also offers these steady and good looking graphics. The game runs smoothly when you are playing through the campaign and as you progress further in the game, everything is still looking lovely. The game looks sharp and the unique units that A Total War Saga: Troy offers are very detailed.
